Paul,
Congratulations on your new job. I spoke to your father before the start of the World Series, it was good to hear that he still is the same guy all us kids like to hang out with back in the day.
I read your Plato’s Academy blog, perhaps the reason you only had 9 students attend was the others heard you went an entire summer without winning a single game of Monopoly. lol
Good Luck

Pardon my lack of familiarity with current UCF business school jargon but what is “STEM” ?
BTW, thoughtful article.
Sorry! Science, technology, engineering, and math
Hello Dean Jarley,
My name is Dwayne Houston. With this blog being a positive way to communicate, I figured that my concern regarding the college would get to you more efficiently through this outlet.
As I was seeking information about MBA programs across the nation, I realized that there was no direct office or specialized group of professionals on campus that could directly assist undergraduate business students in pursuing their MBA.
To my knowledge the ideal professional track is for our top students to gain experience in the workforce with a top company, THEN attend a prestigious graduate school such as Wharton or Harvard. Our college does not offer the proper foundation and preparation in order for our top students to be well prepared to make that journey.
With the “Office of Pre-Professional Advising” not catering to business students, I believe the College of Business has a need. I would love the opportunity to sit down and meet with you to express my concern and also share some ideas that can further enhance the quality of our college. My email address is below and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Best regards,
Dwayne Houston
